Scenic spot introduction:

Fenshuicheng is located at the junction of Linxi Township, Ruian and Quxi, Ouhai. It is an ancient and majestic castle named Fenshuiling Fenshuicheng. Fenshui City looks like a giant python entangled on the ridge, and the two sides of the city wall are very steep. According to the stone tablet next to the city gate, the city was built at the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty. It flourished in the middle and late Ming Dynasty and gradually declined during the Republic of China. There were watchtowers and forts built on the original city wall, but they were destroyed during the Republic of China. According to "Ruian City Chronicles", from the 31st to 42nd year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1552-1563), Japanese pirates fled from Fujian to Zhejiang. The urban and rural areas along the coast of Ruian were harassed and plundered by Japanese pirates, resulting in casualties and property losses. Houses were burned and the damage was huge. Officials, gentry, and common people rose up to fight against the Japanese, and fighting was frequent. At that time, in order to prevent Japanese pirates from crossing the mountains, Yongjia Prefecture ordered the construction of a castle on the hilltop of Yongrui border to fight against Japanese pirates.
