Scenic spot introduction:
Jiulong Lake in Quzhou is an artificial lake formed by the Huangtankou Hydropower Station dam cutting off the mighty Wuxi River. The lake is surrounded by peaks like eyebrows and green ridges; the blue waves in the lake are like mirrors, and the shadows of mist hang upside down, just like a bright pearl on the Wuxi River. The shimmering blue sky, green trees and bamboos contrast with each other, and the scenery is extremely beautiful. The lake area has a suitable climate, dense forests, and birds and animals thrive and enjoy themselves. The azaleas (Azalea) in the mountains are even more peculiar. They change color at any time from spring to early summer, with white, yellow, purple and red alternating with each other, which is so beautiful. There are more than 110 kinds of birds and wild animals inhabiting the forest, including leopards, yellow-bellied tragopans, pangolins, etc., which are national first- and second-level protected animals.
