Gypsum Mountain dominates the northern section of Taiyue Mountain and is one of the main peaks of Taiyue Mountain. It is 2,532 meters above sea level and is located about 35 kilometers southeast of Lingshi County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. It stands side by side with Jiexiu Mianshan Mountain and Qinyuan Lingkong Mountain. The tourist attractions around Gypsum Mountain are connected into a large area with rich content and can form a circular route. Along Jiexiu, you can visit the Wang Family Courtyard, Zishou Temple, Cuifengshan Park, Tianshi New City, and the "Lingshi" Stele Pavilion. After leaving Lingshi County, follow the Yuren Highway and cross the Hanxin Mountains. You can visit the Qin-Jin Ancient Road, Han Xin Tomb, Liu Wu Zhou Fort, Zhou Huai, etc. and then reach Gypsum Mountain. On the return trip, take the Gypsum Mountain Tourist Highway to Dayun Road, where you can visit Yindiguan Ancient Battlefield, Dayukou, Queshu Valley, etc. and then enter Lingshi County.

How to get there:
Train: There are 3 trains from Beijing to Lingshi. Train 1163 goes to Lingshi in Shanxi. It departs from Beijing West at 19:03 and arrives at Lingshi at 8:29 the next day. When you arrive in Lingshi County, go to Changqing Parking Lot and take the Lingshi-Forest Farm bus. The fare is 12 yuan. It takes more than an hour to reach the end of the forest farm, which is the gate of Gypsum Mountain.
Self-driving: Gypsum Mountain is less than 200 kilometers away from Taiyuan. Take Dayun Road and get off at Lingshi Renyikou, and you can reach the scenic spot in more than two hours.
