Scenic spot introduction:

Bamiyan is a town in central Afghanistan, located in the Bamiyan Valley about 150 kilometers northwest of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. The ancient Chinese traveler Monk Faxian visited the city around 400 AD, and the Tang monk Xuanzang visited the city in 630 AD. At that time, Bamiyan was a commercial and Buddhist center. There are two huge Buddha statues of this period in the area. They are carved from rock and covered with plaster. They are the third tallest Buddha statues in the world.

Attractions distribution:

There are about 750 large and small grottoes in the Bamiyan Grottoes. The types of caves include Buddhist niche caves, monk room caves and synagogue caves. Together with the Dunhuang Grottoes and the Ajanta Grottoes in India, it is listed as the three most precious heritage sites of Buddhist art. It is a classic work of Greek Buddhist art.

There are currently two airlines.
