Ashgabat is the capital of Turkmenistan and the political, economic, cultural and scientific center. It is located at the junction of the Karakum Desert and the Kopet Mountains in southern Turkey. It was originally the castle of the Jezhen people, a branch of the Turkmen people, which means "City of Love".

Ashgabat is a unique white marble city, water city and green city in the world. The surfaces of city buildings are entirely covered with white marble from Iran, making the whole city look white and bright. Gardens, lawns and fountains can be found everywhere in the city, and the famous Central Park for Culture and Recreation near the National Theater is lush with vegetation and fragrant flowers.
