Scenic spot introduction:

Daihai in Ulanqab City is the third largest inland lake in Inner Mongolia, with a water surface of about 130 square kilometers and an oval shape. It is known as the "Grassland Tianchi". Daihai is located in a long and narrow subsidence basin, with Ma Tou Mountain in the south and Manhan Mountain in the north. It is about 25 kilometers long from east to west and 20 kilometers wide from north to south. The length of the lake shoreline is 61.56 kilometers. The commonly used lake area is 160 square meters. km, with a volume of 988.9 × 106 cubic meters. It is one of the four famous aquatic product bases in the region. Its water source is collected from more than 20 surrounding rivers and mid-level groundwater. Seagulls, swans, swan geese and other rare birds inhabit the lakeside. Dignitaries and literati from past dynasties came to admire its natural beauty of "flocks of swans, strong winds and waves, with waves as high as ten feet high, like forests and heavy clouds". The lake is surrounded by vast beaches and lush forests. There is a hot spring in the north, which is weakly mineralized hot water of sodium bicarbonate type. The surface water temperature is 38 degrees Celsius. The water contains strontium, lithium, zinc, selenium and other 17 kinds of trace elements that are beneficial to the human body and are effective in treating many diseases. In the mountains to the north of the hot springs, there is a sleeping Buddha. It looks like a mountain when you look up close, and it looks like a Buddha when you look at it from a distance. Its eyes, ears, and nose are very vivid. The area also has the 5,000-year-old early culture of Longshan in the North Country beyond the Great Wall, the Laohushan Stone City ruins and the Yuanzigou cave dwelling ruins, and two 100-kilometer Great Walls - the Ancient Great Wall of Qin and Han Dynasties and the Great Wall of Ming and New Dynasties.
