Unhyeon Palace was the political center of the Joseon Dynasty during the era of Heungseon Daewongun (1820-1898). It is located west of the center of the northern half of Hanyang City (now Seoul), South Korea, with Bukaksan Mountain to the north. Unhyeongung Palace is not a palace, but a place where relatives of the royal family live. The family of royal relatives Yi Shiying (1820-1898) once lived here. Emperor Gojong (1863-1907) lived in Unhyeon Palace until he was 12 years old. After the Japanese occupation and the Korean War, Unhyeongung Palace was damaged, leaving only the existing part, which is very small.Attractions distribution:

In Unhyeon Palace, you can see the traditional wedding ceremony held by Hanyang scholar-bureaucrats during the Joseon Dynasty, and reenact the ceremony of the 26th King Gojong of Joseon and Empress Myeongseong held in Noletang. Held every year on the third Saturday of April and October. The ceremony of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Mingcheng included six ceremonies: accepting gifts, receiving emblems, announcing the date, registering concubines, personally welcoming them, and sharing the prison.
