Feiyun Lake is the largest lake in southern Zhejiang. It is a high-gorge flat lake formed by the interception of the Shanxi Water Conservancy Project in the middle reaches of the Feiyun River. The lake is located at the junction of Taishun County and Wencheng County in Wenzhou City. It has vast blue waves and green mountains. Feiyun Lake Scenic Area is connected to Taishun Wuyan Ridge to the west, Shilong Forest Sea to the north and mountains to the south of Jingning. The scenic area is dominated by the island area of Feiyun Lake and consists of three major lakes: Baizhang Lake, Jujiang Lake and Hongkou Lake. It is composed of different islands, with a water area of 35.4 square kilometers. The forest vegetation around the lake is lush, and the forest coverage rate is 74.4%. Streams criss-cross the area, forming numerous waterfalls, dangerous shoals, clear springs and green pools.
