Scenic spot introduction:
Xiamen Overseas Chinese Museum is my country's first cultural and museum institution built with funds raised by overseas Chinese. It is also the only comprehensive museum in China that comprehensively and systematically displays the history of overseas Chinese so far. The museum building is adjacent to Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple, covering an area of 12,000 square meters and a construction area of 10,110 square meters. It reflects Mr. Tan Kah Kee’s guiding ideology of using the display of museums to enhance the public’s scientific and cultural knowledge and play a social educational role.Attractions distribution:
The Overseas Chinese Museum has three basic exhibitions: Overseas Chinese, Tan Kah Kee Collection Cultural Relics Exhibition, and Nature Hall, which are on display all year round. There are also some temporary exhibitions that are launched from time to time. The museum has a magnificent building and a large collection of cultural relics. It plays a unique role in disseminating historical and scientific knowledge, conducting patriotism education, enhancing understanding and friendship between Chinese and foreign people, and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.Scenic spot features:
