Scenic spot introduction:

Xi'an Revolutionary Park was built to commemorate the soldiers and civilians who died when the Shaanxi National Army defended Xi'an on the eve of the Northern Expedition. After many repairs and renovations, Revolutionary Park has a completely new look and has become an important place for leisure and entertainment for Xi'an citizens. In April 1926, Beiyang warlord Liu Zhenhua led 100,000 troops from western Henan into Guanzhong and besieged Xi'an. The soldiers and civilians in the city, led by the National Army generals Li Yunlong (Li Huchen), Yang Hucheng, and Wang Dingyi, fought hard to counterattack and held the city for eight months. After a long time, after Feng Yuxiang rescued him from many sources, Xi'an's army and civilians fought together, forming an internal and external pincer attack. They defeated the remnants of Liu Zhenhua's army in one fell swoop, and the city of Xi'an was relieved from the siege in November 1926. During the defense of the city, about 50,000 people died, accounting for a quarter of the city's population at the time. In February 1927, in order to commemorate the dead soldiers and civilians in Xi'an, Feng Yuxiang led the public to build a "revolutionary park", carried earth to build a tomb, and built a martyrs' temple and a revolutionary pavilion for citizens to pay their respects.
