Yimen Longquan Forest Park is the first of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Yimen" that has been highly praised since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was also hailed as "the first scenic spot in western Yunnan" by Dong Yiyi, a famous painter in the late Qing Dynasty. The park integrates mountains, water, forests, dragons (dinosaur fossils), temples and caves, with a forest coverage rate of 99.1%. The park is full of dense forests, clear springs, blooming flowers and chirping birds, making it feel like a fairyland. Visitors come here to enjoy springs, view greenery, climb mountains, and feel the profound and profound Buddhist culture. In the embrace of nature, they can relax their body and mind, enjoy the scenery and express their feelings, and have endless fun. The scenic spot is located in Longquan Town, Yimen County, northwest of Yuxi City, the hometown of the famous musician Nie Er.

There are ancient national rare tree species, beech and red bean trees. One of the beech trees has a diameter at breast height of 1.3 meters and a height of about 40 meters. It is more than 400 years old. The spring water in the park is the Strontium Mineral Spring - the famous "Yunnan Mountain Spring" water source with excellent water quality. It is 34 meters above the county seat and is very precious. The park also displays dinosaur fossils unearthed in 1987 in Jiaojiadian, Shijie Township, Yimen. According to experts, they are 180 million years old and have great scientific research value. The main landscapes in the scenic area include: Longquan Temple, Bird Garden, Waterside Pavilion, Yuexia Fenglai Pavilion, stage, Jingpingpingquan, promenade, Longyin Temple, dinosaur fossils, etc.
