Scenic spot introduction:

With its unique and charming desert scenery, the "Tianmo" tourist area in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province has become one of the best locations for domestic and foreign film and television dramas to select western scenery. Tianmo Film and Television Base is located in Longbaoshan, southwest of Donghuayuan, Huailai County, 80 kilometers away from Beijing. It is connected to the Badaling Great Wall and Kangxi Grassland, and is composed of mountains, Gobi, deserts, and lakes. In recent years, more than 300 film and television films, such as "The Great Battle", "The Mummy 3", "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Journey to the West", "Huanzhuggege", "The Granary of the World" and "Beijing Smoke and Clouds" have been shot here.

Attractions distribution:

Tianmo is most amazing for its clear boundary between oasis and desert. The sandy area here is about 1,300 acres, surrounded by ordinary farmland and mountains. There is no sand source within hundreds of kilometers around. The reason for its formation is still unknown. It is an unsolved mystery. According to folklore, sand falls from the sky here, so it is called "Sky Desert". Standing on the desert, you can see the clear Guanting Reservoir to the north and the vast Jundu Mountains to the south. In the foothills, there are rammed earth beacons arranged from west to east, which are the remains of the Great Wall of Yan during the Warring States Period. Mountains, Gobi, deserts, lakes, ancient beacon towers and other natural and cultural landscapes together constitute the unique and majestic scenery of Tianmo.
