Sunan Binggou Danxia Scenic Area in Zhangye is dominated by red palace-shaped Danxia landforms and is known as the "Red Cliffs and Thousands of Rengs". It is the world's first cultural geological park based on Danxia landforms and with a Buddhist theme. Professor Huang Jin, who is known as the "Heavenly Buddha Land" and is known as the "Danxia Fan", rated this place as "the best in China for the window-lattice palace-like Danxia landform". Compared with the Colorful Danxia Scenic Area, Binggou Danxia is more unique and spectacular. It is the largest, most complete, and most unique in the country. It is a favorite photo spot for photographers. It attracts many tourists at home and abroad. While coming for sightseeing, it has also become a shining pearl in the Hexi Corridor.Attractions distribution:
Binggou Danxia is located in Kangle Township, Sunan County, with an altitude between 2000 meters and 3800 meters. It is about 5-10 kilometers wide from north to south and about 40 kilometers long from east to west. The scenic area is mainly divided into five scenic areas, namely Daxitian Scenic Area, Xiaoxitian Scenic Area, Baishagou Scenic Area, Dagou Scenic Area, Yumugou Scenic Area, which is the Seventy-two Gou Scenic Area. The famous landscapes include Shentuo Yingbin, Third World Buddhist Palace, Qilian Bing Waterfall, maid worshiping Buddha, Yin Yang Pillar, Bixi Peak, etc. Danxia cliffs, Fangshan mountains, stone walls, stone pillars, pinnacles, low mountains, hills and other landforms are widely distributed throughout the scenic area. How to get there:
Bus route: Zhangye can be reached by plane or train. There is no direct public transportation to the scenic area, so you usually choose to charter a car to go there. It costs about 250-300 yuan per car for a round trip.

travelling guideline:
1. The scenic area is very large. It is recommended to take a sightseeing bus to visit each area. The order of stopping points is the scenic area gate → Xiaoxitian → Daxitian → scenic area gate. The entire tour time is recommended to be more than 3 hours.
2. Compared with Colorful Danxia, there will be significantly fewer tourists here, but the scenery is more charming and spectacular, so it will be very comfortable to visit. If you have time, it is recommended to watch the sunrise or sunset in the scenic area.
3. The scenic area has free WIFI coverage and the speed is very good.
