Scenic spot introduction:

The Kaiyuan Temple in Zhengding is focused on the ancient pagoda of the Tang Dynasty and the national treasure-level bell tower. It is a major discovery in the study of the history of my country from the late Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties. It is a rare art treasure in China and ranks first in the world. The discovery of the monuments here is of extremely high cultural relic value. Although only one tower and the first floor have been completely preserved in the world, it can still reflect the transition of Buddhist temple architecture from the early pagoda-centered to the later temple-centered architecture. Kaiyuan Temple and Zhengding core historical area together constitute an ancient national historical and cultural city.

Attractions distribution:

Kaiyuan Temple is located on the west side of Yanzhao South Street in the county. The main existing buildings are the Bell Tower and Xumi Pagoda from the Tang Dynasty, as well as the Dachuan Hall, Sanmen Tower and other ruins. Among them, the Xumi Pagoda is very similar to the Xi'an Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The outside of the tower is engraved with reliefs of strong men and there are three Buddha statues inside. There is a bronze bell from the Tang Dynasty hanging in the bell tower. The "best in the world" Bixi, which was unearthed in 2000 on the west side of Qian Street in Zhengdingfu, was also moved to the temple for tourists to watch together.
