Scenic spot introduction:

Tieling Yingang Academy is the only preserved ancient academy in Northeast China. Together with Songyang, Bailu, Yuelu and Shigu, it was one of the five major academies in the Qing Dynasty, and is known as the "First Academy in Guandong". Yingang Academy is located in the center of Yinzhou Ancient City, Tieling City. It is a "siheyuan-style" Qing Dynasty building. It was built by Hao Yu, an influential politician, thinker, educator, and poet in the Qing Dynasty in the 15th year of Shunzhi (1658). Funded to establish. In the late spring of 1910, 12-year-old Zhou Enlai followed his uncle Zhou Yilian to Tieling from Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, and attended Yingang School for about half a year. This is where Zhou Enlai first received Western education and revolutionary ideas. In 1979, the Zhou Enlai Youth Reading Memorial Hall was established here.

Yingang Academy now covers an area of 8,800 square meters, with a construction area of 3,500 square meters. There are 44 Qing-style buildings. There are two stone tablets in front of the academy hall. The main courtyard has Wenchang Palace, East and West Zhaifang, Hao Gong Temple and other buildings. The main courtyard has a courtyard on the east and west sides. The west courtyard is a memorial hall where Zhou Enlai once studied as a boy. The east courtyard is an antique garden building called the Silver Garden.

How to get there:

Yingang Academy and Tieling Museum are not far from each other. You can take the bus from the train station to the museum directly to the scenic spot.
