Introduction to Taohua Dam: Taohua Dam is a tall stone embankment built along the Xin'an River, shaped like a pheasant butterfly. The Cao family of Xiongcun planted peach blossoms all along the ten-mile embankment. There are dozens of varieties, with redbuds in them, which is spectacular.
According to legend, when Yuan Mei of the Qing Dynasty traveled to Huangshan, he and Cao Xueshi, a Jinshi of the Wuchen Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, admired the peach blossoms on Peach Blossom Dam, which was like a water park for the Cao family.
