Introduction to Stone City: Stone City is located on the north side of Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County in Xinjiang, with an altitude of 3,100 meters and extremely steep terrain. It is a famous ancient city site on the ancient Silk Road in Xinjiang. During the Han Dynasty, this was the royal city of Puli Kingdom, one of the thirty-six kingdoms in the Western Regions. Around the Hepantuo period, large-scale construction of city walls began. After the Tang Dynasty government unified the Western Regions, it set up Congling Guard Station here. In the early Yuan Dynasty, large-scale construction projects were carried out to expand the city outline, and the old stone city was given a new look. In the 28th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1902), the Qing government established Puli Hall here and repaired and added to the old castle. Tang Dynasty coins and Tian documents have been unearthed in this city. In 1954, it became the capital of Tajik Autonomous County.
