Introduction to Rakisakisha: Rakisakisha is a thatched hut that was the residence of the 17th-century haiku poet Mukai. Mukai was a student of the great Japanese poet Matsuo Basho. Basho even wrote a few poems here. Mukai named his residence Rakisakisha after seeing that a storm blew down the fruits of the surrounding persimmon trees.
