Wenzhou Jiushan Park features an open water-friendly space and a variety of cultural and artistic themes. It is a green belt-style lake and mountain park in the center of Wenzhou. The entire park is connected by mountains and rivers and is an important part of the urban green space pedestrian system built along the original ancient city wall. Jiushan Park is located in the southwest of Lucheng District, covering an area of 270,000 square meters. The park is divided into Phase I and Phase II, consisting of Songtai Mountain, Songtai Square, Jiushan Square, Jiushan Lake and Jiushan Road. Among them, Songtai Mountain once had historic sites such as the Jingguang Pagoda, the ancient city wall site, the Chaoque Pavilion, the upper and lower wells, cliff inscriptions, and the Monument to the Anti-Japanese Fallen Soldiers during the Republic of China, but very few remain today.
