Introduction to the relics: Sujue, whose courtesy name is Mingdao and whose common surname is Dai, is from Yongjia (now Lucheng District). He became a monk at the age of four. He is profound in economics and is the author of "Song of Enlightenment" and "Zen Cultivation Purpose" His works were spread to India and Korea, and had a profound influence on Buddhism. He was known as "Zen Master Sujue" in the world. Zen Master Sujue first became a monk at Longxing Temple in Yongjia, and later became a disciple of Zen Master Huineng, the Sixth Patriarch. In the second year of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (AD 713), he passed away in Longxing Temple. Later generations built a pagoda in Songtai Mountain to worship his true body.
