Introduction to the Temple of the Sea: The Temple of the Sea is located 300 meters west of Laolongtou. The pavilions and pavilions here are scattered in height, surrounded by water on three sides, and the blue sea is full of waves. Whenever the clouds and mist are lingering, they disappear and appear, just like the fairyland of Yingzhou.
Tanah Lot Temple was built in the early Ming Dynasty. In 1900, the Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded Shanhaiguan, and the Tanah Lot Temple was destroyed in the war. In 1988, in order to develop tourism resources, the Shanhaiguan District Government restored the Tanah Lot Temple for tourists to watch.
The rebuilt Tanah Lot Temple extends 130 meters into the sea, facing south and north. The total construction area is 1,700 square meters, and it is composed of archway, three-hole bridge, mountain gate, bell tower, drum tower, Poseidon Temple, verandah, Tianhou Palace, trestle, sea view pavilion and other parts.
