Introduction to the ancient stele: The "Stele of Gaosu, King of Lanling" was excavated in 1920 by local villagers while collecting soil for road construction. The top of the stele is carved with six flying dragons intertwined with each other, which is unique among other ancient Chinese tombstones. The body of the stele is engraved with valuable documents and materials for studying the politics, economy, and culture of the Northern Dynasties. Although the handwriting is faded and dim, it still retains its vigor and simplicity. Because of its historical materials and calligraphy artistic value, it is known as the first grade of Beibei.
