How to get there:

Train/Bus: 1. JR Kyoto Station → JR Kosai Line Hieizan Sakamoto Station → Ewako Bus → Sakamoto Cable → Cable Sakamoto Station → Take Sakamoto Cable → Enryakuji Station → 8 minutes on foot

2. Kyoto-Osaka Station → Eizan Demachi Yanagi Yase → Yase Station → Yase Cable → Ropeway → Get on the bus → Hieizan Enryakuji Bus (get off at the top of the mountain and walk to the center hiking trail for about 30 minutes)

3. Get on the bus at Demachiyanagi on Mount Hiei → Get off at Enryakuji Bus Center

Fees for worshiping at the shrine: 550 yen for adults; 350 yen for junior high and high school students; free for elementary school students and below
