Introduction to Xi'an Drum Music: Xi'an Drum Music is known as the symphony of ancient China and has been included in the representative list of human intangible cultural heritage. Xi'an drum music is an ancient music popular in Xi'an city and Chang'an, Zhouzhi and other places along the Zhongnan Mountains. The performance forms are divided into two categories: "sitting music" and "walking music". According to different playing styles, it is divided into three schools: monk, Taoist and secular. It retains important artistic traditions from many historical periods since the Tang and Song Dynasties. The formal structure of Tang Daqu is basically the same as the sitting music of Xi'an drum music. It is said that part of the original appearance of Yan music in the Tang Dynasty can be clearly seen in the current Xi'an drum music. In addition, there are traces of Jiaofang music of the Song Dynasty and elements of opera music of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
