Introduction to Chiang Kai-shek's hideout: At about 4 o'clock in the morning on December 12, 1936, Zhang and Yang led their troops to surround Huaqingchi. He escaped from the back window of the fifth hall of Huaqing Pool and hid in a stone gorge cave on the east side of a tiger spot halfway up the mountain.
