Po Lin Monastery is located in Ngong Ping, Lantau Island and has a history of a hundred years. Starting from the mountain gate archway, the temple has the Wei Tuo Hall and the Maitreya Hall, the Bell and Drum Tower, the Main Hall, the Luohan Hall, the Guanyin Hall, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall and other halls, as well as pavilions, bridges, ponds, rocks, trees and flowers, a Bauhinia garden, an orchid garden, and a back garden. and other gardens and forest landscapes. Opposite the Po Lin Temple, you can reach the Tian Tan Buddha by walking past the altar, looking at the Returning Tripod, and climbing up the 268 stone steps. Since visitors can only climb up to the lotus seat, nothing can be seen when visiting the Buddha when the fog is heavy or the weather is bad. In winter, the water vapor condenses into fog, making it difficult to catch a glimpse of the Buddha.
After visiting the Big Buddha, you can also go to the nearby Po Lin Monastery to worship the Buddha and taste vegetarian food.

How to get there:
Get off at Tung Chung Station on the MTR Tung Chung Line and walk 2 minutes to Tung Chung Cable Car Station. Take the Ngong Ping Cable Car to Ngong Ping Cable Car Station and then walk for 5 minutes to reach the Big Buddha. The cable car takes about 25 minutes.
You can also take Lantau Bus No. 23 from the bus stop outside Tung Chung Station to Ngong Ping Bus Terminal and then walk for 5 minutes to reach the Big Buddha, which takes about 45 minutes.
