Introduction to the history of Holy Water Temple: There is a legend about the origin of Holy Water Temple. According to legend, at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, a monk wandered to the foot of Panlong Mountain and suddenly heard the sound of knocking wooden fish from the mountain on the north side. He followed the sound and looked north, seeing the setting sun shining slantingly, and the golden mountains shining like Buddha's light. The monk immediately walked through the ravines and thorns to find the source of the wooden fish. When he reached an open hillside, the sound of the wooden fish stopped suddenly. He raised his head and looked around and found that there were high mountains surrounding the east, west and north sides, resembling a seated Maitreya Buddha. The monk was overjoyed and immediately begged for alms to raise funds, and the temple was built on June 19 of the following year. Because the north mountain behind the temple looks like a coiling dragon, and the spring next to the temple never dries up all year round and can cure all kinds of diseases, the temple was named Panlongshan Shengshui Temple. This is the origin of Seongsuji Temple.
