There was a day left in between and I didn’t write anything. In fact, I should have arrived in Lhasa on the 19th day, and found an apartment in the eastern suburbs on the 20th day, where I paid a deposit and stayed.
It started raining at midnight last night. The wind was strong, the tent was shaking, and there was lightning and thunder. I woke up very early, around 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. It felt like it was already bright outside the tent, or it was an illusion. In the city of sunshine, rain greets us.
By the time the rain stopped, it was already noon. We took electric motorcycles and set off to look for a house. Find the eastern suburbs from the north of the city. Look at the changes in Lhasa over the past few years. In the book I read, Lhasa is composed of many temples, the main ones being the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street, and the rest are chaotic and dark.
But now when walking on the streets of Lhasa, they are not very different from other cities, and the people there are also very similar. Once upon a time when a wanderer left his hometown, it was inconvenient to write letters and receive little news, and he would realize that there were thousands of mountains and rivers blocking him. But now, what is happening in the town where I grew up, more than 4,000 kilometers away, does not require a red horse to run hard, these things can be understood by me.
Mother is sick. I am on my way to the hospital now. Although these things are similar to me, it feels like I can return to my mother as soon as I open the door and soothe her pain. But there are actually more than 4,000 kilometers.
I once said that on this journey, I would practice this kind of Zen. To deeply inhale all the painful tears in the world, and then deeply release the gentle and beautiful kindness. This alleviates the pain that occurs to my dearest person, and brings more warm energy into this world to reconcile the pain caused by transformation and impermanence.
I didn't do it.
Wandering around pointlessly, wasting time. Don't chase, but enjoy. This is a very immediate feeling, but without awareness, it can also be very dangerous. This moment can become boring. There will be the same anxiety as chasing fame and fortune.
