Xiyuecheng Tan Douhua is a chain store that was planted by a Chengdu local. There happened to be a hotel near the B&B where I stayed, and I went to eat there while riding my bicycle after getting up. The decoration of the store is an antique old-fashioned decoration, mainly wood, matched with the previous dining table and chairs. The price is very cheap, as you can see from the menu, you can basically eat most of Chengdu’s snacks in this store.

Red oil dumplings are actually similar to bell dumplings. The pork filling is very full and pure meat. I like it very much. The dry mixed dumplings are combined with the spicy and delicious flavor of red oil. A small bowl can be eaten quickly. . To be fair, the dumpling skin is a bit thick and the pork filling is pretty good, but the dipping sauce is just too much for my liking.

The location of Naohua Noodles next to Taikoo Li is particularly easy to find, facing the entrance and exit of Taikoo Li. The store is not big, rather narrow and crowded, so you need to share a table with others. Our meal arrived and we had to wait in line for a table. While waiting, we could scan the QR code to order and come to Chengdu to experience the hot morning of Sichuan people.
I ordered Erliang Naohua Noodles and Hoof Flower Noodles. The noodles were all served in retro enamel cups. The brain flower is very clean, has no fishy smell, and tastes super tender. The fresh noodles are thin and very chewy. The soup base is not as strong as expected, and is slightly numb, not spicy. The brain flakes are really delicious, but there are only half a lump. Those who go specifically to eat the brain flakes may consider adding another pair of brain flakes.
 

 

The pig's trotters in the hoof noodles are indeed delicious, and the pig skin has a very chewy texture. I still want to eat it without feeling tired. The only flaw was that there were too few trotters, no more than four in total. Even after eating the four trotters, I felt that this bowl of noodles was so empty.
I love the cold cake so much. It’s cute and made into a heart shape. It’s definitely not the watery cold cake. It’s not too small and very glutinous. The rice paste is well cooked and the sweetness of the brown sugar water is just right for me. Appetite, slippery and smooth, it is suitable as an after-dinner dessert to relieve the spiciness.

Longhu Renjia is also a well-established Chuanchuan incense shop. I saw pictures on Weibo a few days before coming to Chengdu and wanted to give it a try. The store is connected by 3-4 shops. In an alley in Waishuangnan, business is very good. The business is good, so the dishes will be very fresh, and there are many types of dishes to choose from. Of course, you don't have to worry about whether the skewers are old dishes that have been left overnight. There is a steady flow of customers until two o'clock in the morning, and it feels like they are all repeat customers.
 
  
 
Ryūdo's hot pot has a very fragrant butter pot bottom. After eating, you will feel that the taste of the pot bottom is too thick and a bit greasy. It is more suitable for friends with heavy tastes. The red soup tastes like old butter, and the soup oil is very clear after boiling. Beef is their specialty, the coriander beef is really delicious, and other meat dishes are also very fresh, such as Zhongbao spicy beef liver, which is also very generous. The ice powder next door is very authentic and spicy.
Auntie will help with the dry dishes, or you can choose by yourself. The aunts are also warm and considerate and responsive to requests. I was really surprised when I paid the bill. The two of us ate for 130, and my aunt even gave us a small change. Chengdu is really cheap and delicious, and the posters on the walls are quite funny, so I took a random photo.

The location is easy to find. It is a very traditional street barbecue restaurant. The aunties in the store are very enthusiastic, and tourists who want to experience the atmosphere of Sichuan barbecue can go there. There is no need to have too high requirements on the environment, and it is very marketable.
The seasonings in the store are divided into dry dishes and wet dishes, so you can mix them as you like. Chili powder and soybean powder, the dipping sauce is simple but very fragrant. Although Zhang's family only serves small dishes, each plate has a generous portion of meat. It is an iron plate barbecue, which is no worse than the charcoal barbecue. The meat is very tasty.
 
 
The sauce-flavored pork belly is a large piece of pork belly. After it is charred by the fire, the fat part is not greasy at all. It is delicious when eaten alone without lettuce. Pay attention to the heat when grilling, otherwise it will easily be overcooked. There is a groove around the periphery of the baking pan. Use the oil inside the groove to deep-fry the Zhongbao. It will be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, which is very delicious to my taste. By the way, there are also glutinous rice cakes that you need to bake yourself. After they are cooked, it is really good to dip them in sugar and eat them. They are soft and glutinous. I recommend them.

We originally wanted to go to Mr. Li's Beef Offal Hotpot near Yuan Laosi, but when we arrived at the store after eight o'clock, all the dishes at Mr. Li's restaurant were sold out, so we had to find a restaurant nearby. What a pity, Mr. Li’s Beef Offal Hotpot has become one of my favorites during my next trip to Chengdu.
Yuan Laosi's hotpot is really fragrant and spicy. The next morning, I really felt like my stomach was burning. We were the only ones in the audience who ordered Yuanyang, and cooked all kinds of meat in a hot red oil pan. It was so delicious. Sitting on a low bench by the roadside and eating hot hot pot is so comfortable in winter.
I prefer the Bobo Chicken that Toto bought next to the hot pot. Whether it is red oil or pepper and sesame, it is so delicious. I love Bobo Chicken! There is also a man selling brown sugar glutinous rice cakes from a cart nearby. His brown sugar glutinous rice cakes are very special. They are the bean flour and glutinous rice balls that we ate when we were young, and then poured with brown sugar juice. It is delicious and has a very soft and glutinous texture. I love it.

How can people who love fat intestines not come here? The store sign is quite new, but the environment inside is like a fly restaurant, so we ordered a small portion of steamed rice rolls and a portion of mixed beef.
 

 

 

The price of fat intestine rice noodles is reasonable, it costs more than ten yuan, but when I got it, I realized that I spent more than ten yuan to buy a bowl of rice noodles, and even when I mixed it, I couldn’t find the fat intestines. The intestines were cut into pieces and given. It’s a little bit different than expected, and the rice roll itself doesn’t taste very good. You have to add some vinegar to make it taste better. I’m so disappointed.
The mixed beef cost 40 yuan a portion. It was piled high and I thought it was a good deal. After I ate it, I realized that it was all shredded cucumber. Although the red oil chili sauce was delicious, it was unnecessary.

Yinzi was not originally on our list, but we saw it when we were lying in a B&B at night and browsing Dianping reviews. The reason why I noticed it was entirely because of Keluli. Later I thought that curry rice was also good, so I took time to have brunch one morning.
 
The decoration of Ginzi is very Japanese, basically decorated with logs. There is brunch during the day, afternoon tea and desserts in the afternoon, and a small bar at night. The store has a large space, a lot of tables, and the seats are quite spacious. My favorite is the seat by the window. It is very bright and you can watch the cars going back and forth outside. It is suitable for drinking a cup of coffee in the afternoon and chatting. daze.
Originally we ordered curry omelette rice, but the waiter recommended to us that curry pork cutlet rice was more delicious, so we changed it to fried pork cutlet. The fried pork chop is very crispy, freshly fried, and paired with curry sauce, which is delicious. The curry sauce is just average, neither outstanding nor overpowering, delicious but ordinary.
 
 
We ordered two flavors of Coluli to try. Their Keluli is stuffed, and the taste is determined by the sauce that is filled in. Ke Luli is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the size is just right. I like it very much.
The tastes are different. Osmanthus oolong tea has a smooth and rich milk filling with low sweetness and a tangy fragrance of osmanthus. The berry chocolate can clearly taste the sweet and sour flavor of the berries, and is paired with a rich but not sweet chocolate sauce filling. Absolutely!
 
For coffee, we chose two different types of Dirty, Earl Dirty and Hot Dirty, both of which were recommended to us by the store clerk. The flavor of Earl Dirty is very similar to that of Yuanyang milk tea. It has a rich tea aroma, but you can also taste the flavor of coffee.
There is a thick layer of milk foam on top of the hot dirty, with cocoa powder and spices. It feels a bit like drinking Chai Latte in Australia. The first sip feels amazing, but after drinking it for a long time, it becomes a little overpowering.

As a new store in Chengdu in October, jú specializes in micro-cement wabi-sabi style. It attracted countless people to check in as soon as it opened. Even though we arrived around 1pm on a weekday, the store was already packed.
 
We like the interior space design and color selection of the store very much. Microcement is used to complete the fixed furniture in the entire space. The geometric tables and chairs are simple, soft and consistent. Jú specializes in coffee during the day and transforms into a cocktail bar at night.
 
Aobai's recent trend in Chengdu is the opening of new stores. Regular coffee is provided for free, as well as jú. We all chose Australian White. The coffee tasted quite good, and the beans tasted neither too sour nor too bitter, just the right amount.
 
 
During the opening period, cakes and desserts were offered at a 12% discount, and we fell in love with the cutest Anpanman. JU Sankou-Sesame Chiffon Cake, its sesame flavor is really strong and the layers are rich, but it may have been left for a long time, so the chiffon embryo has lost its soft texture and is slightly hard. The worst thing is that I took a bite of the white chocolate on the cake. I think it is just for decoration. Please don't try it if you are going there. It has a very fishy milk smell.

This time we went to Chengdu and checked in to her cake shop on the first day. The decoration of the shop is very simple and clean, mainly in cream color. It is very suitable for friends to get together, eat cakes and chat.

Some time ago, I bought Sunset’s ear-hanging coffee on Taobao, and I have seen Sunset many times on social platforms. It often participates in some coffee culture festivals, and it is considered a very active coffee shop in Chengdu.

 

Sunset is located in the Taikoo Li business district, where you can also have light meals. The color scheme in the store is a combination of light green and warm orange, which is very retro yet modern. Some careful thought has been put into the soft decoration, and several corners are carefully thought out. I didn't try their food, so I ordered two special drinks.

When we went there at around 6 or 7 o'clock that day, the bread was almost sold out. We bought the last mini croissant set. There are four different flavors of croissant in one set, and each mini croissant has it. Invaginated.

  

I love the chocolate flavor the most. Its croissant skin is crisp enough but not too oily. You can feel the full amount of chocolate when you bite into it. Let’s praise the rum raisin gelato. The gelato is huge but only costs 18 yuan, which is a good deal. You can feel the strong rum flavor at the first sip. The croissant skin on the side and the raisins inside are very layered and not greasy. It is worth trying.
