Scenic spot introduction:
Alaska's Mount McKinley (also translated as Mount McKinley, English: Mount McKinley), also known as Mount Denali or Mount Denali (Northern Athabasca: Denali), with an altitude of 6194 meters, is the highest mountain in North America. Peak, also the highest peak in the United States, is located in southeastern Alaska, in the middle of the Alaska Range. The Denali Mountains are home to unpredictable alpine winds, typical Arctic vegetation, and wildlife. Most areas here are covered with snow all year round, and there is often thick fog in the mountains. When the fog lingers in the white snow, the scenery hundreds of meters away is invisible. In summer, the green slopes of Mount McKinley bloom with purple rhododendrons and delicate bell-shaped heathers. Mount McKinley is also a gathering place for mountaineering enthusiasts from all over the world. Hundreds of people climb the mountain from May to July every year, but less than half of them successfully reach the top. A mountaineering trip takes about 3 weeks. The terrain of Denali is steep and the climate is cold. From Camp 3 up, crampons and ice axes must be used. Because the mountain is close to the Arctic Circle, although the peak is only 6,194 meters, the surrounding scene is very similar to the North Pole, with layers of ice covering the mountain, countless glaciers crisscrossing it, and wind speeds sometimes reaching 160 kilometers per hour. Here, the temperature is below minus 50°C in the coldest winter, and explorers need to endure extremely low temperatures, strong winds and long-term hiking in ice and snow. Although the success rate of climbing to the summit is only 50%, there are still many mountaineering enthusiasts and people who love adventure.Attractions distribution:
The first record of Mount McKinley was in 1794. The British navigator George K'ankwa discovered this "great snowy mountain" on the northern horizon while sailing along the Alaskan coastline. This was its first record. The world-famous explorer and Japanese mountaineer Naomi Uemura died while climbing this mountain in the winter of 1984, becoming the 44th martyr in the history of Mount McKinley climbing. The second white team to come to the foot of the mountain was the United States Geographic Survey. They named the terrain around Mount McKinley, such as Surveyor Glacier and Robert Mulder Glacier. In the years following these two expeditions, attempts began to be made to climb the highest peaks on the North American continent. The people who came to the Alaska Expedition in 1896 gave it a new name. William Dick of the expedition determined it to be the highest peak on the North American continent. He named the peak after William McKinley, who would be elected President of the United States. The reason why this honor should be given to this Ohio politician is because the first news he heard in the deserted mountains was that William McKinley was elected as the new president. However, Mount Denali was only conquered by humans in 1913. A four-man mountaineering team led by Tedson Stuck finally reached the summit on June 7 with team member Walter Hurt. Stout's route to climb Denali was to approach the peak from the north and pass through the Madru Glacier to reach the summit. For decades after them, this was the only route to climb Denali. It was not until 1951 that another new route was opened by Bradford Wasburn. Bradford, director of the Museum of Science in Boston, climbed Denali from the Madru Glacier in 1942. In 1947, he climbed Denali again with his wife Barbara (the first woman to summit Denali). This new route extends from the Kahiltna Glacier, which is now the traditional route up Denali.Scenic spot features:
