Introduction to Camp Five: Camp Five is located on a large platform at an altitude of 5,200 meters. This is the assault camp for reaching the summit. Due to the high altitude, hypoxia, low temperature and strong wind are the biggest risks here. Alaska is close to the pole and the weather changes quickly. Many climbers are often trapped in this camp for many days due to strong winds.
