Introduction to the velodrome: The Velodrome is the venue that best embodies the concept of sustainable development in the Olympic Park. From the outer layer of wood to the 100% natural ventilation system, the venue and track all reflect the energy saving of the organizing committee. The careful ventilation system that does not require air-conditioning assistance and the venue design that makes perfect use of natural light greatly reduce the loss of electrical energy.
During the Olympics, the lower area of the velodrome will be equipped with 3,500 seats surrounding the track, and the two arcs on the roof of the venue will be built in the air. A total of 2,500 seats will be built in the air on two floors, between the high and low stands. The glass wall allows spectators to enjoy a 360-degree view of the Olympic Park and allows passers-by outside the building to have an unobstructed view of the competition in the venue.
After the Olympics, the cycling track will be connected to a mountain bike track and a road cycling circuit, just like the BMX track, to form a cycling track for local communities, sports clubs and elite athletes. Park (VeloPark).
