Introduction to the velodrome: The Velodrome is the venue that best embodies the concept of sustainable development in the Olympic Park. From the outer layer of wood to the 100% natural ventilation system, the venue and track all reflect the energy saving of the organizing committee. The careful ventilation system that does not require air-conditioning assistance and the venue design that makes perfect use of natural light greatly reduce the loss of electrical energy.
During the Olympics, the lower area of ​​the velodrome will be equipped with 3,500 seats surrounding the track, and the two arcs on the roof of the venue will be built in the air. A total of 2,500 seats will be built in the air on two floors, between the high and low stands. The glass wall allows spectators to enjoy a 360-degree view of the Olympic Park and allows passers-by outside the building to have an unobstructed view of the competition in the venue.
After the Olympics, the cycling track will be connected to a mountain bike track and a road cycling circuit, just like the BMX track, to form a cycling track for local communities, sports clubs and elite athletes. Park (VeloPark).
