Introduction to the Federal Congress Building: The Federal Congress Building is the seat of the Swiss government agencies. The building is composed of two conference halls and a central hall. It is thick and solid and is one of the important buildings for the government to hold parliament and engage in political activities.
The Federal Palace houses many valuable palace murals, sculptures and rare treasures reflecting the history of the Federation. Except for holidays and during parliamentary meetings, free tour guides will lead visitors to visit every day.
The open space in front of the Federal Palace is called Federation Square. There is a fountain show on the square, and it is also used as a parking lot, vegetable market, and a place for public gatherings or protests. Every Tuesday and Saturday, vendors set up tents and stalls in the square early in the morning. Vegetables, fruits, flowers, and snacks are bustling with people, making it a lively and peaceful place.
