Introduction to the Royal Suite: On the south side of the first floor of the Pitti Palace is the luxurious Royal Suite, where the heirs of the Medici family live, sleep and receive guests. The suite is decorated with frescoes from the Florentine School and a series of Medici portraits by the court painter Sastermans (1619-1681).
