Introduction to Peking University’s teaching buildings: The four teaching buildings of Biology, Literature and History, Earth Science, and Journalism opposite the library are symmetrical with the center line of the library, highlighting the style of Chinese architecture. These four buildings, together with the Philosophy Building to the south of the library, the First Teaching Building to the north, and the newly built science buildings further east, are the main teaching places of Peking University. There are countless classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices, and thousands of courses are offered here each semester.
