Introduction to the statue of Li Dazhao: The statue of Li Dazhao was built with donations from the 77th and 78th grade graduates of Peking University. It was created by Professor Fu Tianqiu, a famous sculptor in my country, and was cast with the assistance of Beijing Iron and Steel Institute and Capital Iron and Steel Company. It is located in the woods on the east side of the South and North Pavilions. Li Dazhao (1889-1927) was one of the founders of the Communist Party of China. Since 1918, he has been a professor in the Departments of History, Economics, and Political Science at Peking University, as well as director of the library. He is also the editor-in-chief of the magazine "New Youth" and spreads Marxism. In April 1927, he was arrested by the reactionary warlord Zhang Zuolin and died heroically.
