Introduction to the Tiananmen Gate Tower: Located in the north of the square, it was originally the main entrance to the imperial city in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was originally named "Chengtianmen". It is a tower with double eaves on the top of the mountain, 9 couplets wide, 5 rooms deep, and a height of 33.7 meters. The Lower City Platform and the Xumizuo are 14.6 meters high in total. It was the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties issued edicts. In front of the city tower is the Waijinshui River, on which there are seven white marble stone bridges with carved railings.
