Introduction to Benrilla Mountain: Benrilla Mountain is located in the southeast of Pulong, Linzhi County, and on the north side of the Brahmaputra River. This is a sacred mountain respected by the original Bon religion in Tibet. It is said that Aqiong Jiebo, a Bon believer who was the first to oppose Buddhism during the dispute between Buddha and Bon, once competed with Master Padmasambhava for magic power. When Master Padmasambhava arrived at the confluence of Yajiang River and Niyang River, he used his magic power to mobilize strong winds and tried to blow down all the villages and trees. Aqiong Jiebo used huge rocks to hold down the tree to avoid the disaster. Even now, the treetops in this area are still crooked, which was caused by the fighting back then. Then the two fought in Gulu (meaning Lotus and Peanuts) Village at the foot of Benri Sacred Mountain. Padmasambhava wanted to completely destroy Bon religion, so he tried to push Benri Sacred Mountain into the Niyang River. However, they were blocked by Aqiong Jiebo. failed. Since then, the Bon religion in Gongbu area has been preserved.
