Introduction to Qiangba Buddha Hall (Maitreya Hall): On the west side of Tashilhunpo Temple, it is the most eye-catching hall in the entire Tashilhunpo Temple. The main hall was built in 1914 and was presided over by the ninth Panchen Lama Chokyi Nyima. There is a large bronze Buddha statue of Qiangba in the hall. Qiangba Buddha is the Maitreya Buddha of Han Buddhism. The Jamba Buddha squats on a 3.8-meter-high lotus base, facing south, overlooking the temple. It is a treasure among the giant sculptures and the tallest and largest bronze Buddha statue in the world.
