Introduction to the Reclining Buddha Hall: The Reclining Buddha Hall faces south and is built on a high platform. It is a veranda-style building with a single eaves, and a gold plaque with "Reclining Buddha Hall" hanging high in the middle under the eaves. The hall has a granite floor outside and a square tile floor inside. There is a stone couch at the back and center of the hall, with a jade Buddha of Sakyamuni lying on it. The Jade Buddha is 5.8 meters long and weighs 18 tons. It was a gift from Angkor Li, the mayor of Yangon, Myanmar in 1996.
