Introduction to the Glazed Pagoda: The Glazed Pagoda is located behind the main hall of Baoen Temple. The tower is about 33 feet high, with nine floors and eight sides. The outer wall is made of white ceramic tiles, with a Buddha statue embossed in the center of each brick; each floor from bottom to top is made of bricks. The quantities are all the same, only the volume shrinks layer by layer. The composite tiles and arches on each floor are made of five-color glazed components depicting images of flying apsaras, flying sheep, lions, elephants, etc. The top of the tower is a gold dome weighing two thousand taels, and below it is a pair of opposite supporting pillars. There are 146 ever-burning lamps inside and outside the tower, which consumes 64 kilograms of lamp oil every day and night. It was known as the "First Tower" at that time.
