Introduction to Laojun Hall: During the pre-Qin period, disciples built a straw shed as a memorial hall for Laozi who passed away here. In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, Huang and Lao's studies were highly respected, and the Laozi Memorial Hall with brick and wood structure was officially built. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, Emperor Wu of the Tang Dynasty granted Laozi the title of Taishang Laojun, and then rebuilt it and renamed it Laojun Hall, which is what it is today.
