Introduction to Puguang Temple: Puguang Temple, also known as Madi North Temple, was named Puguang Temple by the emperor in the 14th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty. According to historical records, the grottoes were excavated in the Jin Dynasty. Guo Yu excavated the grottoes and lived in seclusion, writing books and giving lectures. Later generations expanded the grottoes and became a famous temple.
The Puguang Temple Grottoes are composed of many grottoes, including the Thirty-Three-Day Grottoes, the Hidden Buddha Hall, the Horseshoe Hall, the Horse King Hall, the Medicine Buddha Hall and other cultural landscapes. It has a history of about 1,600 years.
