The Mati Temple Grottoes were first built in the Northern Liang Dynasty. They have a long history and are large in scale. Together with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and the Yulin Grottoes in Anxi, they are known as the "Three Great Art Treasure Grottoes in the Buddhist Holy Land of the Hexi Corridor". The grotto group includes Shengguo Temple , Puguang Temple , Thousand Buddha Caves , Golden Pagoda Temple , Upper, Middle and Lower Guanyin Caves There are seven small grottoes, surrounded by picturesque mountains and clear waters, and beautiful mountains. Visitors here can also experience the unique lifestyle and cultural characteristics of the local grassland nomadic Yugur people.

How to get there:
