Introduction to the Marine Life Museum: The Marine Life Museum was founded in 1936 as the Qingdao Institute of Coastal Biology; in 1955 it was changed to the specimen exhibition hall of the Qingdao Seafood Museum, with an exhibition hall area of 1,200 square meters. Displayed in order of biological evolution, the museum displays more than 1,000 items from lower marine plants, protozoa, sponges, coelenterates to higher large marine mammals.
