Rongchang Campus Introduction: Southwest University Rongchang Campus, formerly known as Jianhua Senior Agricultural Vocational School founded in 1938, was the location of the Central Animal Husbandry Laboratory, Agricultural Laboratory and Serum Research Institute of the National Government during the Anti-Japanese War. After liberation, it became a famous national Rongchang Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School of Sichuan Province was upgraded to Sichuan Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine College with the approval of the State Council in 1978. In 2001, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it cooperated with the former Southwest Agricultural University and the Citrus Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Citrus Research Institute of Southwest University) The new Southwest Agricultural University was merged and the Rongchang campus was established. In July 2005, Southwest Agricultural University and Southwest Normal University merged to form the new Southwest University.
