Introduction to Jiangjun Dam: Jiangjun Dam is an unparalleled dam head on the Yellow River. It was first built in the eighth year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1745). It has been continuously reinforced since then and has a history of 260 years. The dam body is made of slurry. It is a masonry structure with a root stone depth of 23 meters. In the 13th year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1808), a General Temple was built here. It was a place where people prayed for the safety of the Yellow River. The temple site is today's Huayuankou Yellow Gate, so this dam is called Jiangjun Dam. The statue of the general on the Jiangjun Dam is based on the shape of Fubo, the famous flood control general of the Ming Dynasty.
