Introduction to Shang Dynasty Bronze Ware: During the excavation of Yanshi Shangcheng, it was found that there were bronze wares that were more refined and more complexly decorated than those unearthed from the Erlitou site, indicating that the bronze casting technology of the Shang Dynasty was highly developed. During the excavation of the North City Wall, the copper-casting workshop area of Yanshi Mall was discovered. A large number of crucible fragments, red-fired clay, copper slag, charcoal, and thousands of pottery models were unearthed, which shows the large scale of its production. The artifacts on display here include bronze statues, bronze knives, bronze arrowheads, bronze chisels, bronze awls and other fine bronze cultural relics from the early Shang Dynasty.
