Scenic spot introduction:

There are five mosques in Lhasa. Two are located in Kajilinka, 3 kilometers west of the Potala Palace. It was originally a settlement of Hui Muslims in Lhasa, with Hui Muslim residences, cemeteries and two east and west mosques. The other three mosques are Hebalin Mosque , Raochuang Lane Mosque and Duodi Mosque.

Attractions distribution:

The Hui people are called "Kaki" in Tibetan. According to legend, in the 17th century, a Muslim imam who came to Tibet from Kashmir asked the Fifth Dalai Lama for a place to stay. The Dalai Lama sent people to "shoot arrows and grant land" at Luoduo Bridge for the Hui people to live in, so Kaji Linka is also called "Qiangdakang" (Qiang means far away; Da means arrow, which means the place where the arrow flies). There are two mosques in Kaji Linka, one in the east and one in the west, only a few dozen meters apart. To the south of the temple is a linka, which is Muslim Cemetery There is no grave mound in the cemetery, only a granite tombstone on the grave with the name and date of birth and death of the deceased. The other three mosques in Lhasa are: Hebalin Mosque , Raochuangxiang Mosque and Duodi Mosque. Hebalin Mosque It is the largest mosque in Lhasa, located in the southeast of the ancient city of Lhasa. It was first built in the middle of the 18th century and later burned down. The current building was rebuilt in 1959. Prayer Hall It consists of a three-courtyard building, a bunk house, a bathroom, a water room, a school, and a linca. Prayer Hall Facing the east, it is divided into the inner hall, open hall, platform, etc.

How to get there:

The Great Mosque is located at No. 6 Dongzisu Road, Hebalin Hui ethnic group settlement area, southeast of the old city of Lhasa, and can be reached on foot.

Small Mosque Located in the southern part of Barkhor Street, Chengguan District, you can take bus No. 7, 8, or 21 and get off at Cemenlin Station.

Just go along Danjielin Road.
